Sweet Summertime!

I don't know about ya'll, but I totally appreciate vacations so much more now that I'm a "working adult" lol!  Josh and I headed to Mexico last week for a few days and it was amazing. 

Seriously, I had a terrible case of the blahsies when we boarded the plane back to Indiana.  The thought of working 4 night shifts in a row the night we came back did not seem all that enticing to me ;).

Moving on...

We stayed at the Now Jade resort in Puerto Morelos and it was wonderful.  Everyone was so friendly and it was definitely a chill vaca, which was MUCH needed.

Lately....

My family came for a visit a few weeks ago which made me definitely a happy girl!  This was my family's first time in Chicago so we did all of the Chicago "biggies".

Whenever my mom and I get together we always have to make a Trader Joe's trip! :)

The last two pictures were taken in Ohio on our visit with some of Josh's family!

Tuesday

Randomly random ramblings again :)

1. I really wanna get this little blog going again but can't get it together.  I always tell myself  to take lots of pics to share on my blog but then wind up taking 2 pics.  Blogger fail.   

2. I went back to Louisiana for a few days and had a fabulous time visiting family and friends.  As much as I love visiting, it's almost not worth it because of the heartache when it's time to leave.  I hate saying that but man, you would think a year being away it would be a little easier.  Alas, it does not.

3. I keep telling myself to enjoy the "adventure" of traveling to different states with Josh and the pup because it won't always be like this. 

4. It is 40 degrees here today.  I have the FIRE going.  It's April. Get it together weather.

5. I've had such an intense desire to spend money lately lol.  I've always been pretty frugal but lately I just want to buy everything in sight.  Gotta reign it in lol.

6. I spent $200 at the grocery and health food store yesterday getting some healthier options for the hubby and I. 

I just ate 8 oreos.

Random and unorganized thoughts by Gabrielle...

1. The weather is starting to feel AMAZING...I feel 4,543 times better when the weather is above 30 degrees....

2. Only two more shifts stand between me and going home for a few days to Louisiana :). 

3. I'm loving the quote, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -Eleanor Roosevelt. So amazingly true.  I definitely find myself thinking about that quote on a daily basis lol. 

4.  Josh and I are having MEGA house envy like woah.  Can't wait until we have a little land and house of our own soon :). 

5. The crockpot and I have become bff's lately.  It's like magic.  Pop in everything and walla! ;)

6. I want to keep Claude (my car) forever.  After Josh's truck debacle I will drive Claude FOREVA.  Josh jokes that he will have to cut holes in the bottom of the floor so that I can "Flinstone style" it. lol

7. ANDDDDD I talk to Huck like a human WAY too much.  Is that bad?

Oh happy day

Do ya'll ever have days where you wake up and just feel so so blessed, crazy cheery, and fulfilled?  Today is one of those days for me.  Sure, I'm thankful for each day that I get to be on this earth but today I'm just feeling extra happy (maybe because I'm off today....haha). 

I'm soo....

Thankful for a husband that is always there for me, watches hours of Vampire Diaries with me, goes to Dairy Queen at midnight just because, writes me letters,  holds me when I'm sad, and so so much more....

Thankful for family that I'm able to call at any hour for anything.  I often call my mom and have no idea why I called, but just want to say hi.....and she's okay with that.

Thankful for friends that support me and are there to talk.  Two of my friends from back home sent care packages this week just because. They're good girls I tell ya....

Thankful for just so so much.  The big things as well as the small things...(my new coffee creamer, new set of scrubs, the long walk I took with Huck...)  I guess there really is no point to this post, lol but just felt like writing today.

Tennessee

Josh and I decided to drive on over to Tennessee to celebrate our 1st year anniversary and can I just say how RELAXING it was? 

Seriously, it was just what we needed.  With everyday life getting in the way sometimes it was nice to get away from everything and just "be".

It's ok....

....to still be in my pj's at 4pm...the weather is NASTY and I see no point in doing anything today lol!

....to miss my family probably more than a 25 year old woman should....

....to talk to my dog like a human being....

...to get excited whenever I get an email from hubs.  Even if it's just a "good morning."

....to watch the amount of reality tv I do....

....to STILL not have printed ONE wedding pic for our frames....It's been a year folks eek...

....to probably care for my patients more than I should...still working on the whole "keep work at work thang".....

....to keep an eye on my off days to coordinate trips back home......

......to love our fireplace so much that I will probably use it even when it's only 60 degrees out....
